The Department of Biochemistry proudly congratulates its faculty members and medical students on the acceptance of seven presentations at the 25th Thai Medical Education Conference 2026 (TMEC 2026), including six poster presentations and one oral presentation. These works reflect the department’s continued commitment to advancing medical education innovation, particularly in the areas of gamification, artificial intelligence, formative feedback, self-regulated learning, laboratory-integrated instruction, and clinical reasoning. The conference also provided an important platform for the exchange of ideas and best practices in shaping the future of medical education in Thailand.

The Department of Biochemistry proudly extends its congratulations to the student team whose project, “EduEqual: AI-Powered Learning Ecosystem,” was selected as a finalist in the Video Presentation and Pitching category at Spark Hack 2025. The event was organized by PTT Public Company Limited, in collaboration with Techsauce and the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa).
The project reflects an innovative educational vision through the application of artificial intelligence to create a more accessible, adaptive, and inclusive learning ecosystem. This achievement highlights the creativity, initiative, and interdisciplinary potential of medical students in addressing educational challenges through technology-driven solutions.

Department of Biochemistry Participates in Open House PCM 2026

The Department of Biochemistry was honored to take part in Open House PCM 2026 by overseeing several hands-on educational activity stations. These activities provided participating students with valuable exposure to basic clinical and laboratory procedures, allowing them to experience an important part of medical learning in a practical and engaging way.
The event was organized on a large scale through the strong collaboration and support of multiple sectors across the institution. It welcomed more than 3,000 high school students, making it one of the major outreach activities aimed at inspiring young learners and introducing them to the academic environment of Phramongkutklao College of Medicine.
This event also demonstrated the remarkable capability of medical students in planning, managing, and carrying out meaningful extracurricular activities with responsibility, teamwork, and professionalism. Their active participation reflected not only leadership and organizational skills, but also a strong spirit of service and academic engagement.
Selected to Represent Phramongkutklao College of Medicine at the 126th Anniversary Exhibition of the Royal Thai Army Medical Department

The Department of Biochemistry is proud to announce that Phramongkutklao College of Medicine was selected by the Royal Thai Army Medical Department to participate in the exhibition held in commemoration of the 126th Anniversary of the Royal Thai Army Medical Department. On this occasion, the work entitled “The AIMEDS Model: AI-Driven Gamified Simulation for Future-Ready Clinical Reasoning” was presented by MC. Pavee Vilaschaijaroen and MC. Boonyawee Janthaphanpreecha, third-year medical students.
The project was developed under the academic supervision of Lt. Col. Thanakrit Vichasilp and Lt. Surapas Junlawakkananon. The AIMEDS Model is an educational innovation that integrates artificial intelligence with gamified medical case simulation to strengthen clinical reasoning and prepare learners for future-ready medical practice. The model is designed with flexibility to support a wide range of learning contexts, including both hospital-based clinical scenarios and Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) situations.
This recognition reflects the academic excellence and innovative potential of the department’s educational initiatives, as well as its ongoing commitment to advancing modern medical education through meaningful integration of technology, simulation, and learner-centered design.
